Baker’s Daughter is a boutique café from 101 Hospitality, the team behind Gravitas and Michele’s. With three locations in Washington, D.C., the all-day cafe offers breakfast, coffee, baked goods and, prepared foods.

Chef Matt Baker harnesses the seasonal bounties of the Chesapeake region for a menu of composed carryout meals, a la carte to-go dishes, house-made and locally-baked breads and pastries, and at select locations bottled cocktails, beers, wine and select spirits.


About Matt Baker

Under 101 Hospitality restaurant group, Matt Baker owns and operates Gravitas, a New American fine dining establishment in Washington D.C.’s Ivy City neighborhood, Baker’s Daughter, a café and market with multiple locations in the Nation’s Capital, and Michele's, a modern American restaurant reflecting the global flavors of his culinary upbringing in Houston and New Orleans. Gravitas received one star in the 2020 and 2021 Washington, D.C. MICHELIN Guides. In 2015, Zagat named Baker in its “Top 30 under 30” list. Prior to opening Gravitas, Baker cooked in Singapore as the opening executive chef of Krish, and in Washington, D.C. under chef Robert Wiedmaier at Brasserie Beck, as chef de cuisine at Occidental Grill & Seafood, and as opening executive chef of City Perch in Bethesda.


About Aisha Momaney

Aisha Momaney is the corporate executive pastry chef at 101 Hospitality. Under Chef Matt Baker, Momaney heads the pastry program at Michelin-starred Gravitas and three locations of Baker's Daughter. Prior to living in Washington, D.C., Momaney spent nine years in New York City working in various pastry roles for esteemed restaurant groups including Union Square Hospitality and the Altamarea Group. Most recently, she was the Pastry Sous Chef at Michael White's upscale French restaurant, Vaucluse. During her time at Vaucluse, Momaney participated in ChefsFeed Indie Week and in 2020, competed on the Food Network's Spring Baking Championship. Momaney is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and holds a degree in graphic design from Boise State University.
